Named after: Julia Morgan Prolific architect and engineer who designed over 700 structures, including Hearst Castle in California. Her early usage of reinforced concrete for aesthetics made her buildings more earthquake resistant, many of which were tested during the great 1906 San Francisco earthquake. She became the first woman to win the AIA Gold Medal for architecture posthumously in 2014.
