William S. Rice was one of the most gifted block print artists of the American Arts and Crafts movement. He found inspiration in nature and created humble yet stunning images. Rice was also an accomplished watercolorist, distinguished teacher, and avid outdoorsman, and his career extended to the age of ninety.
