8" x 10" Gouache painting by local artist Roberto Jaramillo featuring a side view of the iconic Pasadena City Hall Building
Roberto Jaramillo was born and raised in New York City. He moved to California for school to study art at an atelier - a technical art school that teaches foundational art techniques rooted in the realism tradition. A lover of nature and the outdoors, he has combined this passion with his focus on landscape paintings, specifically in the en plein-air painting method. While having lived in a city for most of his life, Roberto never had much appreciation for the outdoors until he moved to California and got exposed to so many diverse environments and biomes. His efforts aim to capture the impression and feeling of the scene in his paintings. He currently lives in La Cañada Flintridge and works as a freelance illustrator.
