Our slightly sheer, crinkled-silk scarf reimagines the water-lily pattern on a leaded-glass table lamp (1905–15) by Louis C. Tiffany (American, 1848–1933). Leaded-glass lampshades with floral patterns are probably the Gilded Age designer's best-known products.
In this beautifully executed design, a variety of glass textures and colors was used to great effect. Its overall organic character is emphasized throughout, from the bronze lily pads on the base to the cascading glass blossoms of the shade.
