The Tulip Pillow is worked on Natural Irish linen in a brilliant array of colors including red, olives, green, and brown. Easy to work using the satin stitch and stem stitch, beginners will do just fine. The satin stitch is worked to fill the tulips, with the center petal worked over a padded foundation (raised satin stitch) using the chain stitch. The satin stitch is worked for the remaining areas then is outlined in stem stitch. Dimensions: approximately 17 inch square; you will need an 18-inch pillow insert.
Kit includes: linen with printed design (front and back for a pillow), amble thread, a needle (Bohin - only the best!), detailed instructions and step by step photos; like having an assistant with every stitch. You will need embroidery scissors and a hoop (4, 5 or 6 inches).
