The Ward W. Willits House is considered one of the first great Prairie School houses designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The house presents a symmetrical façade to the street and seamlessly combines architecture with nature. The plan is a cruciate with four wings extending from a central fireplace. In addition, Wright designed the furniture for the house, stained-glass windows (light screens), and wooden screens that divided rooms.
