Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Magnolia window was a perfect example of the artist’s ability to make effective use of empty space. With blossoms of drapery glass set in clear glass, light was allowed in, while one could see out. After dark, it was a graceful silhouette against the night. The heavy leading suggests in a sculptured way, the angular grace of a magnolia tree.
